A Dalecarlian horse, or Dala horse, is a tradition of carved and painted wooden horse statuettes that originates from the Swedish province of Dalarna. In the old days they were used as a toy for children, today it has become a symbol for Dalarna as well as Sweden in general. This large Dala horse is exclusively produced for the ABBA museum and is hand painted in black and golden lacquer paint. Size 17 cm.
